Schools Still Coming Hard For UCLA '19 DB Commit Chris Steele

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco '19 defensive back Chris Steele committed to UCLA back in late January but powerhouse programs from all over the country continue to pursue him heavily.

The St. John Bosco sophomore class is loaded with nine players already holding scholarship offers and there are at least two to three more players in the class we expect to get offered later this spring.

The player receiving the most attention right now is standout defensive back Chris Steele. Steele is a big corner who some feel could grow in to a safety in college but for now, we think he has the athleticism and quickness to stay at corner. He's a physical player, tough against in the run and shows enough speed to make plays down the field, showing good cover awareness.

On the recruiting front, Steele committed to UCLA this past January, just a few days before Signing Day, but as expected, that hasn't slowed down his recruitment at all. In fact, new offers continue to roll in almost daily for the talented corner with the LSU Tigers and  Oregon Ducks being his most recent and schools like Alabama,  Florida  and  Ohio State could all be close as well.

Steele said he plans to take a few visits over the summer and listed  Nebraska  and  Stanford as two schools he knows he'll check out.

To hear Steele talk about the strength of his UCLA commitment, the schools he plans to visit and what the Bruins need to do to keep him in the fold, check out the video above:
