West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade running back Andrew Van Buren is approaching double-digit offers.

"As of now, I have eight offers," said Van Buren.  "I wouldn't put any schools above one another, though.  I'm still breaking down the recruiting process."

Van Buren has offers from Boise StateColoradoColorado StateFresno StateHawaiiNevadaSan Jose State and UCLA.

"Some of the other schools in contact are WashingtonBoston College and Arizona," said Van Buren.  "This spring, I've seen Arizona, Washington and Colorado by the school."

Van Buren has visited two of the schools that have offered, Boise State and UCLA.

"I made my way to Boise State," said Van Buren.  "It was a great experience and I really enjoyed myself."

Running backs coach Lee Marks is recruiting Van Buren to the Broncos.

UCLA, which has running backs coach DeShaun Foster and area recruiter Angus McClure on him, also had Van Buren on campus.

"I made it over to a UCLA practice this spring," said Van Buren.  "The UCLA practice was great and their coaching staff is welcoming."

Van Buren would like to see at least one more Pac-12 school this spring.

"This spring, I plan to make it out to Colorado," said Van Buren.

Van Buren is being recruited by Gary Bernardi, who has recruited the San Fernando Valley for several years..

Those three are among the schools recruiting Van Buren the hardest.

"I'd say recruiting me the hardest are Boise State, Colorado, UCLA and Nevada," said Van Buren.

Van Buren is hoping to be committed by the time his season starts.

"I don't have a top five or any favorites, but my time frame for a decision is hopefully before the season," said Van Buren.
