A Syracuse wide receiver target is now a 4-star prospect

Movers in the East rankings after a pair of The Opening Regionals include a new five-star and several players making big jumps.

After a tremendous junior season and equally strong spring, Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan linebacker Teradja Mitchell earned his fifth star. Mitchell is the total package at linebacker. He has great size and athleticism. Mitchell is physical and strong. He is also very smart and has a great work ethic. His position was switched from outside linebacker to inside linebacker, and he is now the No. 1 player there. His final three schools are Florida StateLSU and Ohio State, and he will make his decision next month.

Justin Shorter was already highly regarded, but the Penn State commit's showing at The Opening Regional in New Jersey elevated his status even more. He was crowned the event's "Fastest Man" after running the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds. He measured in at 6-foot-4, 213 pounds, and he was sensational running pass patterns. He moved up 27 spots and is the No. 66 prospect in the 2018 class. He also jumped from the No. 15 to No. 10 receiver in the nation.

Notre Dame defensive tackle commit Jayson Ademilola puts in a ton of work in the offseason, and his development was evident. The 6-3, 290-pound defensive tackle from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep was quick at the snap, stayed low, used his hands well and showed an ability to counter the move of an offensive lineman. Although he committed to the Irish in June, other schools are pursuing him. Ohio State and Alabama are showing a lot of interest in Ademilola, who saw his national ranking rise from No. 207 to No. 122, and his positional ranking rise from No. 19 to No. 11.

Dante Stills' projected position was moved from defensive end to defensive tackle as his added size, and his quick-twitch talent, made a move to interior defensive lineman possible. He also earned his fourth star. Stills gets up the field quickly and he remained low and was constantly winning the leverage battle. It was the best collection of talent the Fairmont (W. Va.) High standout faced, and he was excellent. His top six is West VirginiaPenn StateOklahomaLouisvilleVirginia Tech and North Carolina.

Darryl Jones had a breakout fall and his recruitment exploded over the past few months, and he earned his fourth star. The Virginia Beach (Va.) Princess Anne wide receiver is a long, athletic play-maker. He gets in and out of his routes quickly and has great speed. Jones is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He made a huge jump in going from the No. 181 receiver to No. 69. His scholarship total reached double digits and MarylandSyracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are schools to watch.

Big Stone Gap (Va.) Union tight end James Mitchell was dominant in the fall, and he added significant muscle in the offseason before performing very well at the The Opening Charlotte. Mitchell is very athletic and comfortable lining up at tight end or split out wide. He runs good routes and does a nice job getting open. Mitchell is also very good after the catch and he is a major red zone weapon. In receiving his fourth star, Mitchell jumped up 11 spots and is the No. 16 tight end in the nation. The main contenders for Mitchell are Clemson, DukeTennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
