Three-Star LB Tysean White Talks Boise State Offer and Fresno State, Nevada and SDSU Visits

San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine linebacker Tysean White is a good looking prospect and just hit the double digit mark in scholarship offers earlier in the week.

St. Augustine is loaded with talent and linebacker Tysean White is one several players who is being recruited at the high Div I level.

White is a long, rangy athlete with a college body right now. He shows up very well on film and has the ability to move around and play multiple positions in college.

He's physical at the point, has the athleticism to run down plays from the other side of the field and is a big hitter. He looks fluid in space, shows good lateral mobility and should develop in to an every down 'backer in college who will never need to leave the field.

On the recruiting front, White hit the double digit offer mark on Monday when he landed offer No. 10 from Boise State.

"I was really excited to get the offer from Boise State," White said. "I've been talking with Coach Andy Avalos (DC/LB coach) and then Coach (Kent) Riddle (TE Coach) came to our school last Friday. On Monday they offered me a scholarship and I'm very interested in going out there for a visit.

"I've heard great things about the school and know about their history of winning. They have a great program and a great coaching staff so I'm excited to check out the campus. If I can't make it out there in the summer, I'll for sure take an official visit in the fall."

White has already taken visits to Fresno StateNevada and San Diego State and broke down what he likes about each trip.

Fresno State- "That was an awesome trip. They were one of the first schools to recruit me and have showed a lot of interest. I toured the campus and saw the football facilities and two weeks after my visit is when they offered me. They have a great coaching staff and I talk to them on a weekly basis."

Nevada- "I was there for the spring game and that was an awesome trip as well. It's a beautiful place, the weather was great and the mountains and scenery was really nice. All the people I met were great with me and the coaching staff really welcomed me in so it was a great all around experience."

SDSU- "I've been to SDSU a few times and I like the program and the school a lot. They haven't offered me yet so the coaches are just asking me to be patient. They only have two senior linebackers and said they may only be able to take one linebacker in my class so they're being selective now and I understand that."

In addition to Boise State, White said there are several other schools he would like to visit.

"I want to visit San Jose State, Army, Navy, Colorado StateUtah State and maybe Arizona," White said. "I like San Jose State a lot and it's a good fit for me. i like the area out there, I want to major in Business and there's a lot going on with Business there so I want to check it out.

"I talk to Army and Navy a lot and have a strong interest in both schools. For me, I'm looking for life after football and with those schools, you're almost guaranteed a good job when you graduate there. I have family in the military so I have no problem with the commitment after I graduate.

"Arizona hasn't offered yet but I've been talking with Rod Smith (OC), he's our area recruiter. He was at my school last weekend and they sound interested. Cal and Oregon State are also showing interest and it would be great to land an offer from the Pac-12. Oregon State wants me to hit up their satellite camp and I'm going to try and do that for sure."
