ACC School Inches out Front for Florida-Based 2018 OT Martin Weisz

An ACC school is currently leading the way for 2018 North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School offensive lineman, Martin Weisz.

Virginia, the lone Power Five school to dish out an offer to this point, is now sitting atop the list for Martin Weisz, a junior offensive tackle at North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School.

Weisz, who tips the scales at roughly 6-foot-6, 305 pounds, is armed with a handful of additional scholarship offers, including ones from Florida Atlantic and Marshall.

"UVA and Columbia are at the top for me recruiting wise," Weisz said. "But for a top school, it would be UVA."

Weisz says his interest level in the Cavaliers' football program dates back to when he was just getting his feet wet with the recruiting process as a whole.

"UVA has been high on my radar before they even started recruiting me," Weisz said. "They play ACC football, and Virginia is one of the best colleges in the United States.

"Now that (offensive line) coach (Garet) Tujague and I are talking, I have learned so much more about the true brotherhood that is Virginia football."

With a front-runner in place, Weisz says he could be inching closer to scooping up an offer from an additional ACC program.

"Columbia is recruiting me really hard, and Marshall is as well," Weisz said. "Pittsburgh hasn't offered me, but I have been in contact with many of their coaches too."

If all goes as planned, Weisz will be journeying through a stable of college campuses prior to returning to the classroom this fall.

"I am doing camps at Vanderbilt, Duke, UF and Yale," Weisz said. "I also plan on visiting Columbia, Pitt, UVA, Wake Forest and Harvard."
