Chris Bleich, the No. 2 offensive tackle in Pennsylvania, said a mid-June decision remains his target and five schools -- Nebraska, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Penn State and Rutgers -- remain his focus.
The one-time Penn State commit may take a few more visits, but nothing is set as he finishes his junior year at Plymouth (Pa.) Wyoming Valley West.
During The Opening Regional at Centreville High, Bleich showed how much he grew as a player in the last year. (Clips are in the video player at the top of the page.)
He measured in at 6-foot-6, 313 pounds, and his foot speed developed well. He worked on his kick step, which was markedly improved from last spring. Bleich needs to continue to trust it, and take another step or two with it to better control the outside.
Bleich used his length to land some strong initial punches. There were times Bleich reached and it caused him to get off balance, but that is a simple fix with technique and patience. He showed quickness in shooting his hands inside the defensive end, and his power was a plus.
