By the time Bryan Bresee's time comes for recruiting, he could be a national name.
He came into last month's The Opening Regional at Centreville High already holding several major offers, and the Damascus (Md.) High defensive end only bolstered his standing as one of the early top players in the East in the 2020 class.
Penn State, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Louisville, Purdue, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Rutgers already extended offers. Bresee already made multiples visits to Penn State and also visited Maryland, Ohio State and West Virginia.
Bresee measured in at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, and he was impressive during the 1-on-1 portion, which are in the video player at the top of this page.
How impressive? He made the final five, and deservedly so.
Bresee was technically sound. He was quick with his hands and able to keep the offensive lineman from engaging in the block. He used a swim move to win one rep, and he demonstrated a nice burst and an ability to change direction and get up the field quickly. He was willing to try and beat the offensive tackle with speed to the outside, and quickness inside.
Given Bresee is finishing his freshman year and factoring in his size, expect Bresee to be recruited as a defensive tackle.
