"Michigan is a big-time offer for me," Brooks said. "It's my second Big Ten offer, and (defensive coordinator) Don Brown really loves me. I believe they will show plenty of love to me real soon.
"The Don Brown edition, the 4-3 defense, is a defense I can dominate in. As a defensive end and outside linebacker, I believe coach Brown would love what I can do on his defense."
The 6-foot-1.5, 191-pound Brooks, who has turned plenty of heads on the camp circuit this offseason, is brimming with joy knowing he has the opportunity to strap up the pads for such a household name at the head coaching position.
"I love how (coach Harbaugh) stays consistent at all times and keeps calm in big-time situations," Brooks said. "He keeps the motor going for Michigan football.
"Also, I recently found out that coach Harbaugh is a former NFL quarterback."
If all goes as planned, Brooks will be journeying up to the Midwest before his junior campaign kicks into gear roughly three months from now.
"I only have Penn State (scheduled) right now; I'm seeking for more, though," Brooks said. "If I'm not mistaken, I think it's on June 30."
