Ten offers have arrived for Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Academy 2018 three-star offensive tackle Luke Jones, who should continue to garner more recruiting attention in the coming weeks and months.
"It's honestly satisfying getting all this attention for football," Jones told Scout, "because I have been working really hard these past couple of years and it's nice to know it's starting to pay off."
Jones has visited a few schools this semester and has more trips in mind.
"I've visited Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Arizona State this spring. All three schools are still evaluating me," Jones said. "I'm trying to go to Texas State, Virginia, Iowa State, and maybe some Ivy League schools if I can."
Like Virginia and Iowa State, Texas State has already offered Jones. Offensive line coach Garrett Tujague recruits Jones for Virginia, while O-line coach Eric Mateos recruits him for Texas State. Tight ends coach Alex Golesh recruits Jones for the Cyclones.
"All of them have offered and want to get me on campus as soon as I can," Jones said.
Jones added that he's consistently hearing from the schools that have already offered him: Iowa State, Virginia, Texas State, Marshall, ULM, Western Kentucky, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Princeton, and Yale.
"Really all the schools that have offered keep in touch with me," he said. "I can't think of one college that really stands out."
Jones possesses the requisite frame to remain a tackle at the next level, though he could provide some position-versatility because of his size and playing style.
"My strengths as an offensive tackle would have to be my size, toughness, and when it's time to play I try my best to go full speed every play," Jones said. "I'm working on getting stronger, as well as trying to be better at timing my punch and my technique as an offensive tackle."
