There is not a tougher position to master, regardless of sport, than quarterback. Although just a sophomore J.T. Daniels, is a prodigy who makes the game look easy at times.
At the 32Cares 7on7 Tournament at Los Alamitos H.S on Saturday, Mater Dei took down Upland (Calif.) in the final and Daniels was tremendous. His accuracy, timing and ability to thread passes in to the smallest of windows is really impressive. He's a very smart, high IQ quarterback who can make quick reads and gets the ball out early and on time so his receivers can make a play after the catch.
He's easily among the top quarterbacks in the 2019 class and will be in the running for top overall recruit in the west coast when he's a senior. With two more years to develop, it will be fun to see where his game is at as a senior.
On the recruiting front, Daniels most recent visit was to Stanford last week and the Cardinal offered him a scholarship. This is a big offer for the quarterback as Stanford is a school he has been very high on for some time.
We caught up with Daniels to talk about his visit to the Farm, as well as an earlier trip to Washington. Michigan is next up for Daniels and the quarterback said he remains interested in UCLA and USC as well.
