One of the more versatile defensive back prospects in the state of Ohio is three-star Taj Ward, and the Solon product can play either safety or cornerback.
College recruiters have noticed his talents, and Ward has already put together an impressive scholarship offer list.
"The last few offers I've received have been from Marshall, Ball State and Boston College," Ward stated. "Of the schools that have offered, I would say Kentucky and Cincinnati are sticking out to me."
"I've never been to Kentucky yet, but they've been in my school to see me. They really want me to visit there this summer," he added. "When I got the offer from Cincinnati they told me they were going to be concentrating on Ohio recruits the most."
"I really like what Coach (Luke) Fickell is bringing to the program," he continued. "I was there for the spring game and really liked it a lot. I've spoken to Coach Fickell on the phone, and he has told me they want me in the program."
There could be more offers headed Ward's way in the future and he is open to hearing from every school that's interested in him.
"I'm still learning about these schools, and I just started looking at Boston College since they offered," Ward explained. "I'm going on a bus tour of several camps this summer, so there could be more offers."
