Kayvon Thibodeaux is on the short list when talking about the top overall recruits in the 2019 West Coast class.
In fact, he'll be on the short list when talking about the top prospect in the national 2019 class and has a chance, with two years of development to go, to be mentioned among the best defensive ends to come out California in the last decade.
Thibodeaux was working out at tight end at the 32Cares 7on7 event over the weekend but his future is definitely on the defensive line. He has an ideal frame, long and athletic with room to add plenty of weight. He's a quick twitch athlete who can move laterally, stop and start, change direction with ease and is a lot more than just a straight line guy like so many young defensive ends we see.
On the recruiting front, Thibodeaux has already visited LSU and taken local trips to USC to UCLA multiple times. He said he probably won't take any other visits this summer but next year, he hopes to be much more active checking out various colleges.
Thibodeaux talked about the schools recruiting him hardest, his plan to be an early enrollee and his timeframe for making his college choice.
