Four-Star WR Kobe Smith Has Nebraska, USC and Washington State on Him Hardest

Gardena (Calif.) Serra wide out Kobe Smith always had a ton of potential and he is starting to show just what kind of player he can be this off-season.

Kobe Smith has been among the top receivers we've seen this spring and is fulfilling his tremendous potential.

Smith has been on our radar since his freshman year and he always flashed potential but we wanted to see him do it on a more consistent basis. He has definitely been doing this off-season and has looked great at the last 4-5 tournaments we have seen him in.

Smith has a long, athletic frame, great body control and very good hands. He's a talented basketball player as well and you can see it the way he plays receiver. His timing in jump ball situations is tremendous and he is as good as any receiver in the region at being able to jump over a defensive back to make a play.

He is playing with a ton of confidence right now and is developing in to a go to receiver. If he can bring that same consistency to the field this fall, he should have a big senior season.

On the recruiting front, Smith said he talks the most with the Nebraska CornhuskersUSC Trojans and Washington State Cougars. He is planning unofficial visits with Cal and Stanford and said he would like to take all five of his official trips before he makes his decision.
