2019 RB Charles Mincy Talks Early Offers and Childhood Favorite

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey sophomore running back Charles Mincy is one of the state's top athletes and should be a lot of fun to watch over the next two years.

Charles Mincy is a talented running back prospect who should blow past the double digit offer mark very shortly.

Mincy has a nice blend of burst, top end speed, elusiveness and toughness. He's quick through the hole, can make his cuts at top speed and can run away from a defense. He is not considered a big back at 5-10, 180 pounds but runs with power, isn't afraid to run between the tackles and does a nice job finishing his runs.

Mincy can also play some defensive back and has all the physical tools to play corner at the next level but we like him as a running back right now. We'll see where he's at physically in a couple of years but that versatility is a big reason why he is such a promising prospect.

On the recruiting front, Mincy is up to nine scholarship offers with the Colorado Buffaloes and Fresno State Bulldogs being his two most recent. His first offer was from Nevada when he was just a freshman and the Michigan Wolverines and Oregon Ducks  offered very early in the process as well.

Mincy's father, Charles Mincy Sr., was a standout defensive back for Washington in the late 80s/early 90s and the younger Mincy plans to camp with the Huskies over the summer.

Editors Note- It got a little windy at times during the interview so apologies for the sound quality in the beginning and at other parts.
