Wisconsin OL gets Iowa offer, set to visit Badgers

Balsam Lake (Wis.) offensive tackle Cody Ince talks about his Iowa offer and visit.

Iowa became the first Big Ten school to offer Balsam Lake (Wis.) Unity offensive tackle Cody Ince on Wednesday night.

The Hawkeyes join Central MichiganNorthern IllinoisVirginiaWyoming and others on the 6-foot-6, 260-pound rising senior's offer list. This latest offer came on a visit to Iowa.

"The trip was great and I couldn't be any happier with people down there," Ince said. "The program tradition is amazing."

In addition to the schools that have offered, Ince said Minnesota and Wisconsin are the "main" schools in contact who have not offered.

He has visited Minnesota, which is not far away from his home in Balsam Lake, and the in-state Badgers are part of his upcoming visit plans.

"I plan to return to Iowa for another visit," Ince said. "I am heading to see the Badgers tomorrow."

At this time, Ince has not narrowed down his list of choices yet.

"I still have left my options open," he said. "I will be narrowing down schools shortly."

Ince was an All-Conference selection in basketball in the winter and also played on the school's basketball team. In football, he registered 100 tackles (15 for loss) and six sacks, but is being recruited more as an offensive tackle.
