2019 QB Coltin Clack (Gabe Brooks / SCOUT)

Recruiting Notes from the ETSN + APEC East Texas Football Recruiting Combine

TYLER, Texas -- Scout provides recruiting notes from Sunday's ETSN.fm + APEC East Texas Combine at APEC Training Facility.

  • Texarkana (Texas) Texas High 2019 quarterback Coltin Clack recently picked up his first two offers from Florida Atlantic and SMU. The 6-foot-2, 203-pound Clack has also gotten recent interest from programs such as Baylor, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, and TCU. Clack earned Quarterback MVP at Sunday's event and is primed for a breakout season this fall.

  • Leonard Parks, a 2018 defensive end from Texarkana (Texas) Texas High who measured 6-foot-4 1/2, 228 pounds, is very close to his first offer. Iowa State and Kansas have recruited Parks the hardest lately. Parks possesses a huge wingspan and has gained 25-30 pounds this offseason. He has a lot of potential.

  • Jefferson (Texas) 2019 receiver T.Q. Jackson will be a big name in the East Texas region's junior class this fall. Jackson has garnered recent interest from Oklahoma State, SMU, and Illinois. The 6-foot-2, 174-pound Jackson ran a 4.47 40 for the top offensive time at the event.

  • Nacogdoches (Texas) 2018 safety DaRyan Williams earned Defensive Back MVP at Sunday's event. He measured 5-foot-11, 198 pounds and ran a 4.47 (tied for top time) with a broad jump of 10 feet, 8 inches, the best at the combine. Williams has an FCS offer from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and a Division II offer from Northeastern State. He plans to camp with Memphis and Kansas State, which have both shown recent interest.

  • Lufkin (Texas) 2019 prospect Breylon Garcia will likely emerge as a Power Five target in the near future. The 6-foot-4, 207-pounder plays receiver and defensive end at the Texas Class 6A level. Garcia has gotten early interest from Kansas State, Nebraska, and Oklahoma State. He visited Texas and North Texas earlier this semester. Schools have mostly focused on Garcia as a receiver so far.

  • Schools such as Memphis, Sam Houston State, and SFA have shown recent interest in Center (Texas) 2018 athlete JaTerious Evans. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder has gotten interest on both sides of the ball at receiver and defensive back. He's the younger brother of 2017 three-star receiver Octavius Evans, who signed with Boise State.

  • Baylor, SMU, Texas State, and Utah have shown recent interest in Brownsboro (Texas) 2018 outside linebacker Kenneth Woods, who measured an impressive 6-foot-2, 209 pounds at Sunday's combine. Woods plays running back, receiver, and linebacker for Brownsboro.
