Analysis:
Brevyn Spann-Ford is a great sized, athletic, coordinated tight end prospect. A high school split end, he is used to being out wide and running routes. He has excellent ball skills and uses his frame to high-point the football. He is a fluid kid who does athletic tasks very naturally and easily. At this point, the main thing we would like to see him improve on is pure speed and explosiveness. He does not have as much experience as a blocker, but him adding the necessary strength and weight for that should not be a problem. He already shows good strength after the catch and runs hard and breaks tackles when he has the ball in his hands.

Overall:
Spann-Ford is going to be a big time red-zone weapon. He has excellent hands and ball tracking skills. He should be a favorite target for Gopher quarterbacks based on size and reliability. As he gets into a college strength program and polishes his route-running skills, he is going to be a matchup problem for opposing defenses.
