Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei offensive lineman Chris Murray continues to be the No. 2 offensive guard prospect in the West.
Murray has 14 offers and plans to see a number of those schools this summer.
And a significant amount stopped by Mater Dei this spring to check in on Murray and a host of teammates.
The Cardinal haven't offered but are one of two Pac-12 schools that have picked up the communication with Murray.
"I've been in contact with Stanford a lot recently and Arizona State has been hitting me up," said Murray. "Our spring schedule was pretty heavy so I couldn't go too far to visit a lot of schools."
The local schools, though, received visits. Murray has been up to UCLA a couple of times this spring, most recently for their spring game at the end of April.
"I went to UCLA's spring game and it was a good football environment," said Murray. "I was able to talk to Coach (Hank) Fraley shortly after the game."
Murray is hopeful for an offer from USC, and could camp with them.
"I want to make it to the USC Rising Stars Camp this weekend," said Murray.
Murray plans to visit several schools when summer comes around.
"During my dead period for football, I hope to visit more schools like Stanford, California, Washington and Oregon and also Utah," said Murray. "And then I always visit family in Texas before school begins so I will get to TCU and Texas."
There could also be a couple of other camps at schools he'll participate in.
"I will probably go to Washington's camp when I'm up there and Stanford's also," said Murray. "I'm interested in the Notre Dame lineman camp too if I can make it."
Once the summer winds down, Murray said he'll ideally have a top five.
"I probably won't have a top five until later in the summer because I want to map out all my possibilities," said Murray. "And most likely during the season or after I will commit."
