Tommy Brown is one of the top offensive linemen out West and one of the nation's top tackle prospects.

He is nearing the 20+ offer mark and has programs from all over the country recruiting him heavily. There was one school very close to his heart, the Alabama Crimson Tide, that he coveted an offer from and the lineman received the good news earlier today.

"I had a feeling it was coming but it was still an incredible thrill for me," Brown said. "My dad went there and everyone knows that was my dream school growing up so to land that offer was a great feeling. I had been in contact with Coach (Brent) Key (OL Coach) earlier in the week and he told me he might have some good news for me.

"We just got out of practice today and I got a message from him to give him a call. I was like , 'oh shoot, I think I'm about to get an offer from Bama.' I was with all my teammates when I called him and when I got the offer, they were all jumping around, shouting and shoving each other, it was a great moment."

Brown has visited Bama multiple times and knows a lot about the program. Despite that, he said he has no plans to make a quick commitment.

"I still want to take my time before I commit anywhere," Brown said. "This offer is a dream come true but I don't want to rush this. I always said I planned to take all five of my official visits and I want to hold true to that. I don't want to let the excitement of this offer make me jump on it, I don't want this to be an emotional decision.

"Plus I'm still waiting on a few schools to offer and like I said, I just want to make sure I'm making the right decision here. I'm going to visit Michigan this summer with my dad and I'll probably visit Oregon in July. I'll also visit UCLA again when the new facilities are done. That will be about it until I take my official visits.

"I know I'll officially visit Alabama and Oregon but that's all I know right now. I'm going to keep those last three open and just let my recruitment play out a bit more and see who else could offer."
