Kentucky lands 4-star Michigan LB DeAndre Square

Kentucky has added to their 2018 recruiting class with yet another four-star from Michigan, this time, Detroit Cass Tech linebacker DeAndre Square.

Kentucky continues to recruit the state of Michigan well and today, the Wildcats added Detroit Cass Tech four-star linebacker Deandre Square to their recruiting class.

He joins fellow four-star Marquan McCall, an offensive lineman from Oak Park as the two Michiganders in the Kentucky class.

Square held offers from Michigan State, Wisconsin, Arizona, Iowa, LSU and more.

"I picked Kentucky because I love the coaches and how they believe in me," he said.

Square had been visited in the school in the spring and previously by area recruiter Steve Clinkscale and had a chance to spend more time with the rest of the staff last weekend on a visit to Lexington.

A safety earlier in his high school career, Square played more linebacker as a junior and projects, most likely, as a WILL for the Wildcats.

He had 72 tackles, eight sacks and two interceptions for the state champion Technicans a year ago.
