No Time Frame In Mind for 4-star OT Steven Jones

Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral four-star offensive lineman Steven Jones doesn't have a time frame in mind for a decision just yet...

Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral offensive lineman Steven Jones is closing in on 20 offers.

The four-star has 18 offers but with a wide array of options, he's focusing on one particular region.

"I have 18 offers but the most outstanding ones to me are most of the Pac-12," said Jones.

Jones had a ton of schools come by during the spring eval period, and took a few trips to the two local schools, UCLA and USC as well as up to Oregon and Oregon State.

"We had UCLA, UtahWashington, USC and a bunch of others," said Jones. "And then I took a trip up to the Oregon schools."

Those visits were good ones for Jones.

"The Oregon and Oregon State visits were pretty fun," said Jones. "I saw a lot of great things up there."

Jones said he won't be doing any camps in the coming weeks but plans to stop by UCLA at their Lineman Camp this week after performing at it a year ago.

"I don't really have a lot of plans with camps coming up other than going out to UCLA this week to hang out," said Jones.

But Jones isn't ruling out some unofficial visits.

"I might be going out to Washington and Oregon again," said Jones.

Jones said a top five could be close too.

"I might be releasing a top five soon, probably within a couple of months," said Jones.

Jones said he hasn't scheduled any official visits yet but plans to take them all.  He doesn't have a time frame for a decision at this point.
