Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline offensive lineman Matthew Cindric has kept himself busy this spring, with a number of visits to schools.
Cindric has 16 offers and a few of them are standing out to the three-star.
And Cindric thinks a couple more could be close if recent communication is an indicator.
Several schools stopped in at Skyline to check on Cindric during the eval period.
"All the schools who have offered came by along with Washington, Stanford and Nebraska.
Cindric checked out Utah and Cal recently after having visited Oregon State, UCLA, USC and Washington State earlier in the spring.
Utah was one of his recent stops.
"I really enjoyed Utah and I really got to learn more about the school itself. Their football program speaks for itself with the amount of success they have had and the coaches are awesome. But as a school, they were very impressive as well with all of their new facilities," said Cindric.
He also stopped in at Cal.
"Cal, I had a really good time. I really liked the campus and its location near San Francisco and it doesn't get much better than Cal for the education," said Cindric. "I really like the new coaching staff and their philosophies. The facilities and stadium were awesome. Cameron Saffle, who played at Skyline when I was a freshman, is up at Cal, so it's nice to have someone you know up there too."
Cindric plans to visit Oregon and Washington for camps this summer but will hold off on more extensive visits until fall.
"I'm going to Oregon on the 24th of June and then to UW on the 15th of July," said Cindric. "Besides UW and Oregon, I will probably wait to take more visits until I can take my officials."
Cindric said the soonest he'd trim his list would be around August.
"I might name a top list but that wouldn't be until August at the earliest," said Cindric.
Cindric said the process has allowed him to establish some strong relationships with a number of coaches.
"I have a good relationship with Coach (Steve) Greatwood at Cal, Coach (Justin) Ena at Utah, Coach (Eric) Mele and Coach (Clay) McGuire at Washington State, Coach (Hank) Fraley at UCLA and Coach (Jim) Michalzik at Arizona," said Cindric.
Cindric doesn't have any plans to commit just yet.
"Whenever I feel like I found my place, that's when I will commit," said Cindric.
