Five-star RB Zamir White will bring speed, power and explosiveness to Georgia

Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland running back Zamir White committed to Georgia moments ago, and Scout takes a look at what the Bulldogs are getting, and how he fits into their 2018 recruiting class.

Georgia secured an enormous commitment from top running back Zamir White Tuesday.

Rated: He is a five-star prospect, No. 1 running back in the country and seventh-ranked prospect overall.

Scouting report: White is the total package.

He has good size and is very strong.  White displays great anticipation and tremendous vision. The Scotland standout is patient, shows great balance and does a nice job setting up and following his blocks. However, he is also aggressive and decisive.

White possesses elite speed and quickness. He is very effective running between the tackles or on the perimeter. White is elusive, but can also lower his pads and run over defenders. Regardless, he is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the football.

He also has a tremendous work ethic and a high football I.Q. White simply has everything you look for in an elite running back.

Final Thought: The impact of White's commitment to Georgia can not be overstated. He is a rare talent who checks all the boxes when it comes to being an elite running back.

The hype around White started well before he took a high school snap and he has more than answered every challenge and lived up to all the expectations. When the lights are on and the game in on the line, White wants the ball in his hands and can put a team on his back.

Georgia is definitely trending in the right direction under coach Kirby Smart and White is the type of player that can help take to Bulldogs to the next level. Scotland is one of the premier programs in North Carolina, so he is a winner and demands a lot from his teammates.

He is also the type of prospect other elite players want to play with at the next level, so look for him to become a valuable recruiter for the Bulldogs.

The sky is the limit for White. He should be one of the better running backs in the country as soon as he steps on Georgia's campus.

If he stays healthy and continues to develop, White will have a chance to be one of the next great players and Georgia and ultimately a very high NFL draft pick.
