Penn State commit Ricky Slade turned a lot of heads with his play at running back at The Opening at Nike's headquarters with his elusiveness, pass catching skills and ability to accelerate after the catch.
The No. 2 running back in the 2018 class not only was focused on the field, but also in recruiting. He and fellow Penn State commit Justin Shorter were on the title-winning team, and both were recruiting for the Nittany Lions.
For Slade, who plays at Woodbridge (Va.) Hylton, the event was an opportunity to speak with Nittany Lions target Solomon Enis of Phoenix (Ariz.) North Canyon. Enis is the son of former Penn State great Curtis Enis.
