One of the more improved 2019 offensive line prospects over the course of this year is Bradenton (FLA) IMG tackle Charles Turner, and he is on the recruiting radar.
Turner started the spring with zero offers, but several impressive camp appearances resulted in him landing six offers in a short time frame. He holds offers from Akron, Alcorn State, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Minnesota and Toledo.
"I would say that Cincinnati, Kentucky and Minnesota are sticking out to me right now," Turner stated. "With Kentucky, I like what they're doing and they can be in the running for the SEC title this year."
"Minnesota has a great program, and I liked working with them in camp," he added. "I know Ed Warinner is one of the best offensive line coaches in the country."
"Cincinnati is going to do great things under (head coach) Luke Fickell," he continued. "They offered me after camp, and I know Coach Fickell is going to get things turned around quickly. I'm also hearing from Pittsburgh, Penn State and a few others."
Although Turner played his sophomore season at one of Ohio's top programs in Canton McKinley, he has transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
"Going to IMG, my goals are to learn the game better, and get stronger and faster," Turner explained. "I know this is going to be a big adjustment, playing against and with so many great players, but I'm ready for the challenge."
