Joey Elliott, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound quarterback from Evansville (Ind.) Harrison is one of the top gunslingers in the Midwest.
Elliott will be a three-year varsity starter in 2004. Joey threw for 2,208 yards and 19 touchdowns as a sophomore.
As a junior, Elliott threw for 2,600 yards and 28 touchdowns. He was named honorable mention all-state.
"I have scholarship offers from Indiana, Washington State, Ball State and Cincinnati." Elliott said.
"My favorites are Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Notre Dame and Wisconsin."
Elliott has already begun a busy summer schedule with a visit down tobacco road.
"I camped at Wake Forest already and I got the chance to visit North Carolina State." Elliott said.
I'm going to Indiana for camp tomorrow and after that I'll be at Michigan State and Western Michigan.
"I'm going to visit Northern Illinois. I'll be camping at Wisconsin and Illinois for a day. Next week I'm camping at Purdue and Notre Dame. I might camp at Michigan."
Elliott also letters in basketball and led his team in assists this past year. He's also a three-year starter on the baseball team.
