Mullins (S.C.) offensive lineman Jamarcus Grant knew he wanted to stay in-state, and in a battle between South Carolina and Clemson, the Tigers took an early lead. Now that lead has turned into a commitment.

"I committed to Clemson," said the 6-foot-5, 321 pounder in an interview with TheInsiders' Miller Safrit. "It was just the place that I wanted to be and it was the place my family wanted me to be. When I visited, it felt like home and I knew that I wanted to play there."

Now Grant will turn to his team and hope to lead them to a state championship before helping the Tigers.

"My team has always been my first commitment, so I am going to focus on the season before I help Clemson in recruiting in December and January."

Grant gives the Tigers the verbal commitments of the top three offensive linemen in the state. He was recruited to Clemson by assistant coach Dabo Swinney.
