Hahn Closing In On a Decision

Offensive lineman Adam Hahn of Hartford (Wisc.) Union High School is rated among the top 10 players in the state of Wisconsin by BadgerStatePreps.com. He currently has three offers and could be close to receiving a fourth. How close is Hahn to making a college choice though?

Adam Hahn said he still has scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Indiana and Northern Illinois, while another Big Ten school could be close to offering.

"Northwestern called last Thursday to request (senior) film," Hahn said. "They seem very interested in me."

The Wildcats are in good company too. At 6-foot-4, 270 pounds, Hahn is currently rated the No. 8 prospect in Wisconsin by BadgerStatePreps.com. He was recently clocked at 4.91 in the 40-yard dash.

Is Hahn close to making a verbal commitment?

"I'd like to wrap it up by sometime in September, but I'm not necessarily setting a deadline for the end of the month," Hahn said.

He made an unofficial visit to Indiana last weekend for the CMU game.

"I thought by doing that I would kill two birds with one stone," Hahn said. "I like Indiana a lot, but I also like CMU.

"What I like about CMU is the no-huddle offense and how they spread it out," Hahn added. "That (Jerry) Seymour is a great back."

Hahn said he is being recruited to play defense by the Hoosiers and offensive line for the Chippewas. He made it clear that he has no preference to playing on the offensive or defensive side of the ball.

Hahn said the opportunity to block for his former high school teammate and current CMU quarterback Brian Brunner is indeed enticing.

"I've blocked for Brian for two years (at Hartford) and we're great friends," Hahn said.

He noted that Brunner called him two nights ago to talk about how things were going at CMU and to get an update on the undefeated Hartford Orioles.

"We're 2-0 right now with a 34-0 win over Stoughton and a 40-17 win against Sun Prairie," Hahn said.

He added that he hasn't scheduled any other visits yet because Hartford plays a number of Saturday games that would conflict with weekend visits.

"Right now, I'm interested in the three schools that have offered me and Northwestern," Hahn said.
