Highlands Ranch QB is a Dual-Threat

Kyle Black could be the state of Colorado's top signal caller this fall. As a junior, he threw for 1,750 yards and 18 touchdowns. He rushed for 570 yards and six touchdowns. Black was named second team all-conference and honorable mention all-state. Colorado is one of his early favorites.

"I can run and pass," says Kyle Black. "I get everyone around me motivated on the field. I am a leader out there."

The quarterback has no favorite and is keeping his options open. "I like Colorado, Stanford, Air Force, Oregon, and Nebraska.

"I have liked Colorado my whole life. I have grown up as a fan of them. I have been to many Colorado-Nebraska games. It is kind of weird for me, too, because now Nebraska is recruiting me."

He has received handwritten letters from the Cornhuskers and Colorado State, but says the most attention is coming from CU and Oregon. Coach Wristen is after him for the Buffs. "It is on my 'to-do' list to call him. I have been meaning to for a while now."

He can't make CU's Junior Day because he'll be in Las Vegas with his family for a baseball tournament.

Black carries a 3.6 core GPA and will be taking the tests soon. He would like to major in Business Law.
