JH: Congratulations to you for being named to the Scout Network All-American game?
AL: "I am kind of surprised because I never thought about the game. I didn't think I had any chance so it is kind of a surprise, as well as a blessing."
JH: How did you find out about the news?
AL: "Actually, it was my head coach who called me. He called me at our high school basketball game where I take the stats for the game. I was totally surprised, but when I found out I called my mom and then my brother. They were proud for me and happy for me that I get a chance to play another game.
"It was real disappointing for us because we didn't make the playoffs. so I was happy to be able to play another game. It makes losing in the playoffs a little easier to handle. I think a lot of people from our school are going to make a road trip to the game, and our cheerleaders are going to cheer at the game."
JH: I am sure you are looking forward to the game, because it pits the best of the best in high school football?
AL: "I am looking forward to that opportunity. I am looking at it as a test for me. If I don't do very well in the game, then I have a lot of work to do to get ready for college football. But if I do, well then maybe I am ready to play right away."
JH: Did you visit anywhere this weekend?
AL: "No, I didn't because I am set with my two schools right now — Oklahoma and Texas A&M."
JH: When are you going to announce a decision?
AL: "I don't know yet. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks."
JH: Will you announce it at the Army All-American game?
AL: "No, I am going to make a decision before the game."
JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?
AL: "I think Oklahoma is a very good program. I think they were a little down this year because of injuries, but I see through all that. I know who Oklahoma has coming back and who they have coming in, and I know that Oklahoma is going to win a lot of games over the next couple of years. Oklahoma is going to do some great things over the next couple of years."
JH: What kind of opportunity does Oklahoma have to sign you?
AL: "They have a 50 percent chance because I really don't have a leader right now."
JH: What are your thoughts on Texas A&M?
AL; "I know they have been struggling, but they are bringing in good athletes. I think they are improving, but I also realize that a lot of programs around them are getting better. They need to continue to bring in quality athletes to improve their team to compete where they have to compete in college football."
