Christian Ballard Talks Official Visits

Scout.com four-star defensive end Christian Ballard, from Lawrence-Free State, will begin his senior season Friday night. Ballard plans to visit the Jayhawks for an unofficial visit this weekend.

"We play Leavenworth Friday night for our first game of the season," said Christian Ballard from Lawrence, Kansas. "I think we are ready for them. We have been practicing very hard."

"I think we should be pretty good this year. We have been working hard throughout the entire off-season. I think this game will give us the opportunity to see how good we are going to be this season."

When asked weekend plans Ballard said, "I will probably go to the KU game this weekend. I really don't know what the deal is with them right now. I am kind of taking everything step-by-step with Georgia."

The soft verbal commitment to Kansas is still debating his official visit schedule as he continued, "I haven't set up my official visit to KU, but I probably will sometime soon. I may take my official visit to Georgia when they play Colorado [September 23]."

"It's still kind of down to KU and Georgia. There may be one or two more schools I may visit. I don't want to release the names of those teams right now because I am not positive I will visit."

Stay tuned to Scout.com as we continue to track the recruitment of Christian Ballard.
