"I've visiting Mississippi State this weekend," said Ellis, a December graduate.
He's also set up several other official visits.
"I'm visiting West Virginia on December 1st, Memphis December 8th and Southern Miss December 15," he said. "Ole Miss is also talking about setting up a visit."
When asked if he has the teams in any kind of order, he said, "Mississippi State is number one, West Virginia number 2, USM 3rd and Memphis 4th."
As for a lead, it appears MSU has a significant lead over the others.
"State is really up there. I'm really feeling them. They are the highest up there," he noted.
He explained why Mississippi State has jumped to the top of his list.
"I wasn't really that interested in them until I started talking to their coaching staff. They said they are going to use me at punt return, kick return and playing cornerback," said Ellis. "Plus, the SEC is the hardest conference. That's why I like them."
Ellis, who will be a consensus first-team all-state selection, had 62 tackles, 6 interceptions, 5 pass deflections and 2 blocked field goals this past season.
