UNC Working on Big Four-Star OL

In an effort to secure an official visit with Kevin Bryant, North Carolina held an in-home visit with the Scout.com four-star lineman this week.

"I received a home visit on Tuesday from one of the coaches [John Blake]," said Bryant. "It went better that I expected.

"I asked him what did he see me playing at the next level – if I did come to North Carolina. He said he saw me as an offensive tackle. Other than that he was just trying to get me to come up and see the school. They are going to try to do it before Signing Day."

Bryant, a 6-foot-6 380-pounder from Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Anderson, said he wants to wait until he visits Chapel Hill before developing an opinion of North Carolina.

"To tell you the truth, I've just got to go out and see the school," said Bryant. "With the whole situation, I've just got to see the school. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to see how North Carolina is, but so far I don't have enough background information."

The problem Bryant is facing regarding a UNC official visit is time. This weekend he heads to Mississippi and then Southern Cal the following weekend. That leaves him with one weekend remaining before Signing Day and he's also looking to schedule a trip with Louisville.

Heading into his official visits schedule, Bryant doesn't have a leader.

"I'm going to be looking at preferred position, playing time, and whether they want to red shirt me or not," said Bryant. "Basically, I want to go to the school that best fits me and my family."

During his senior season, Bryant helped lead Anderson to a 9-3 record. He recorded 56 pancake blocks and didn't allow a sack all season.
