An All-Around LB
There are several things that Bruce Taylor does very well. Taylor, 6-3 and 220 pounds, is a linebacker prospect from Myrtle Beach (S.C.) High School that has already committed to Virginia Tech. First, he has great size and good speed. Taylor has either great instincts for the position or is very well prepared because he reads the play so well and so quickly. Once that happens Taylor just goes and gets the ball carrier. His recognition of the play and then making the tackle is outstanding. Taylor fills the hole and fights off and defeats blockers very well. He is at his best when the play comes his way but he can also pursue and chase a play down. Taylor is also an effective playmaker in coverage which is difficult for many high school linebackers. He shows excellent vision in coverage as well.
