Peter Badovinac, a 6-2, 203 pound QB out of Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill. Took a visit to Iowa City on Saturday to watch Iowa's spring practice. The day started off for Badovinac with some position meetings.

"I got to sit in on a QB meeting with Coach O'Keefe and the quarterbacks," he said. "I got to see how Coach O'Keefe talks with the quarterbacks."

After the meetings, Badovinac headed out to the practice field, where the Hawkeyes were participating in one of several scrimmages they have planned for this spring.

"They scrimmaged most of the practice, and they were really going at it," he said. "I got to see how everyone worked and how the coaches interact with the players and stuff."

"It was pretty much what I was expecting. It was more of a scrimmage out there, I don't think that's how everyday practice was. I wasn't expecting them to go as live as they did. There was a lot of hitting going on out there."

Badovinac, who took in a Northwestern practice last Thursday and is headed to East Lansing to check out Michigan State next Thursday, said he hopes to have an offer soon. He also added he feels like Iowa, Northwestern, and Michigan State are all very close to offering.

Once he does get a few offers on the table, Badovinac isn't likely to take too long before making his decision.

"I'd like to be done before my season starts," he said. "I hope I can make the best decision for myself and my family before the season starts."

We'll keep in touch with Peter to see how his spring and summer travel schedule goes as he nears a decision.
