Brendan Wilson Talks Recruiting

Geismar, LA--Tight end Brendan Wilson stands 6-5 and weighs in at 225-pounds. He lists his 40-yard dash at 4.68. Wilson is one of 32 returning players to Coach Barry Saia's Dutchtown High School Team.

"We are picked to win state," Brendan Wilson said. "One of our 32 returning players is our reserve quarterback. He is really good. He stands 6-4 and can see over the line well."

When asked about college interests, Wilson lists UConn, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Florida, Florida State and Purdue. He has been on unofficial visits to Vanderbilt and Florida State.

Wilson had the following to say about each visit.

Vanderbilt: "I really liked the tight end coach. They are very nice people and have a nice facility."

Florida State: "Their stadium is awesome. I would love to play there. They have a very nice weight room, and it is very clean."

Wilson has been working during the off-season lowering his shuttle time and getting stronger and faster. He lists his squat at 495-pounds, bench at 285 and clean at 310.

In closing, Wilson wants college coaches to know, "I work hard. I'm a good leader. I'm a good tight end," he said.
