Anthony Calls Visit a "9"

With 17 offers under his belt and 5 official visits to take, Chandler HS (Chandler, AZ) corner Marc Anthony takes an unofficial to Cal.

Arizona's top cornerback, Marc Anthony from Chandler High School, recently took an unofficial visit to Cal. He lists Cal, along with Michigan and Nebraska, as his three favorites.

Coach Gould and Coach Littlejohn head Anthony's recruiting and Marc says that they "talked about the whole recruiting process and that make sure you pick the place that you feel most comfortable in and make sure you get the best out of my education as well as college football itself."

Anthony's cousin is freshman defensive lineman Cameron Jordan and he and Marc spent most of the weekend together and Anthony enjoyed his visit. He says, "It's (Berkeley) a nice laid back city and school with laid back people. Nice buildings and it has a lot of history about how it all came along." He adds, "I watched practice and met all the coaches and staff members and hung out with my cousin."

Cal and Tennessee played while he was on his visit. "The game was live, the crowd didn't move from their seats and it was filled with 76,000 people with like 500 more on the hill," he says.

Marc can picture himself "coming in and being a part of the physical defense they play."

Overall, Anthony says the visit was a "9".

Nebraska is next on slate for Anthony's visits. He will take an official visit to Lincoln when the Huskers play USC on Sept. 14th.

Anthony and his Chandler Wolves are currently 1-1 and play 1-1 Phoenix Desert Vista on Friday.
