Recruiting: Hinton Has 239 Yards in Two Games

Oklahoma State commitment Jackie Hinton out of Channelview, Texas, reports that the Falcons are 1-1 on the season with a win over Houston Chavez and a narrow loss to Galena Park. Hinton spoke to us while he was icing his legs, which have done a lot of work so far this season.

"I'm just trying to keep 'em fresh," said Hinton explaining that he isn't injured, just getting ready for this week's home game with Galveston Ball. "I've been doing good. I had 150 yards rushing against Chavez and scored three touchdowns. Then against Galena Park I had 89 yards rushing and a touchdown. I've also caught a lot of passes out of the backfield. This week I'm going to play defense (safety)."

Hinton was recruited out of Channelview by OSU associate head coach Joe DeForest to become a new addition to the Cowboy secondary. He has good speed at 4.5 and is a solid 5-10, 185 pounds.

As far as his recruiting, Hinton said nothing has changed and his commitment to Oklahoma State is solid.

"I'm hoping to make it up to some games and see the guys," said Hinton. "I'm really hoping we are tied up in the playoffs."

Hinto said there is always his official visit if he doesn't make it up to a game. He also added that he'd be watching on Saturday when Oklahoma State hosts Texas Tech.
