Mission Hills high (San Marcos, Ca) defensive end Jamaar Jarrett has been one of the more elusive prospects on the recruiting trail this season. The 6-5, 240-pounder has spent little time focusing on recruiting, opting instead to devote most of his attention to his season where his team is off to a 6-1 start. While he is pleased with the collective fortunes of his squad thus far, he isn’t as thrilled with his individual performance.
“I am getting triple and double teamed,” said Jarrett. “I was hoping to play a little better.”
As far as his recruitment goes, Jarrett told GoBlueWolverine last night that he has already begun the process of setting up his college visits.
“I have already contacted Oregon and California to set up my visits with those schools,” said Jarrett. “I haven’t talked to Michigan in a while. I will be contacting Michigan soon to set up a date with them.”
Jarrett’s list of finalists is comprised of Michigan, Oregon, California and Colorado. The Wolverines have long been reported as leading the pack. Recently, however, Jarrett backed off of that stance a bit.
“Right now everything is up in the air,” he said. “Only time will tell but right now I don’t have a leader.”
GoBlueWolverine will have more on Jarrett in the coming weeks.
