4-Star DB doesnt take scheduled visit

Four star defensive back C.J. Holton has narrowed his college choices down to two and he was scheduled to visit one of those schools this weekend. Read on for the latest...

"I got tied up and couldn't make it down to Miami," C.J. Holton said. "We got beat by Madison County on Friday night. Now we're getting ready for the first round of the playoffs against Arnold."

Holton, 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, made an early commitment to Florida State but has since added Miami back into the mix.

"I'm still committed but just keeping that option open because I really like Miami," he said. "I'll know a lot more after I take those visits. That's all that I'll take."

The talented safety, who plans on taking both visits after his season, talked more about the Miami weekend that he missed.

"I was at Applebees watching it," he said. "I was really surprised they got beat like that. Any team can beat any other team on any given day but they got it. I don't know what the problem is, all I know is that they need a lot more big time players. I talk to Coach McGriff and Coach Barrow and I really like them."
