That visit was last night and Reynolds (6-3 315) informed Scout.com late that he committed to Akey and offensive coordinator Steve Axeman , who also attended the visit.
Committing last night was not quite what Reynolds originally planned, "I had the feeling that I wasn't going to do it (last night)," he tells Scout.com in an exclusive interview.
Plans changed as the visit continued, "They came and impressed my whole family and it reminded me of the good time I had up there," adding, "My Dad kept giving me hints and smiling at me (to commit)."
Reynolds decided to pull the trigger right before Akey and Axeman left. "I was real nervous and scratching my face. They asked me if I had something I wanted to say and I committed. Coach Akey almost jumped out of his shoes." Reynolds adds, "I liked it too much up there."
Factors Reynolds cited for committing were, "I love the coaching staff, I love the team chemistry and how young the team is. That's what pulled me in."
Reynolds says he is a firm commitment and really appreciated how hard the
Offensive line coach Dan Finn is excited to get a player like Reynolds. Guy states, "He likes how I finish blocks and don't stop until the end of the echo of the whistle."
Guy does not envision a problem qualifying. He says he carries a 3.35 GPA and scored a 16 on his ACT. He is thinking of majoring in business finance.
