"I'm gonna wait until signing day," Johnson said. "I feel like I want to wait a bit longer and take the rest of my visits. It's just gonna come down to where I feel the most comfortable and where I'll be able to be the most successful."
Johnson, Scout.com's No. 21 safety, already visited Oklahoma State on Nov. 30. "They are a young team and they are still up-and-coming," he said. "I'd probably be able to go and play early there. I think I could make a real impact on the team."
Next up for Johnson is an official visit to Oklahoma on Jan. 11. "I like the whole system there," he said. "They run a great defense and they win every year. They produce NFL quality players and have some of the best coaches in the country.
"I was really surprised they lost to West Virginia (Fiesta Bowl), but those things happen," he said. "They still had a great season and always go to top bowl games."
Johnson will be taking his final official visit to Miami on either Jan. 18 or 25. "I've always loved Miami," he said. "I really think that coach Randy Shannon is gonna turn them around. He's a good coach and everyone really respects him. They have a lot of pride and tradition and they aren't going to be down for long."
He reports a 3.7 core GPA and a 720 SAT, which he is retaking on Jan. 26.
