Recruiting still in limbo for Craft

Unfortunately, when coaches either leave or get dismissed from jobs, recruits get caught in the storm as well. Mt. San Antonio QB Kevin Craft (6-5, 215) is one such player, but he's hoping to know more soon as his top school and their coach have parted ways. JCFootball.com caught up with Craft this past weekend and he updated us on things and talked about what could be in his future...

"When coach (June) Jones quit that pretty much put stuff up in the air," Craft told JCFootball.com. "I visited Hawaii back in December and I really liked his offense and I really enjoyed my time out there, but then he resigned this week so I need to talk with him about things before I make any type of a decision."

Hawaii was Craft's only offer and at this point even that's up for grabs.

"I'm not sure if I will even have an offer with them, so it's pretty unsettled right now," Craft said. "Eastern Illinois is the only other school really recruiting me right now and they haven't really been after me that hard.

"If coach Jones wants me to follow him to wherever he ends up that is something I would look at, but at this point I'm not sure. I will hopefully talk to him this week to find out what is going on and then I should know more about what will happen."

Craft spent two years at San Diego State before enrolling at Mt. SAC this past fall.

He led the Mounties to a 10-2 record while throwing for over 3,700 yards and 41 touchdowns.

He will have two to play two wherever he ends up.
