Ohio Athlete Checking Out Northwestern

Toledo, Ohio athlete Ryne Robinson was one of the most talked about prospects during the May Evaluation period. Robinson has the speed that the Northwestern coaching staff loves.

"My have our first play-off game this weekend, said wide receiver Ryne Robinson.

"Akron, Bowling Green, Ohio University, Miami (Ohio), Eastern Michigan and Ball State have all offered me a scholarship.

"My favorites are Bowling Green, Northwestern, USC and Ball State."

Robinson, a 5-foot-10, 170-pounder, from Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic is a three-year varsity starter on both sides of the ball.

So far in 2002, Robinson has 950 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns. No official visits have been set as of yet.
