Brandon Jacobs Names Four Early Favorites

Brandon Jacobs, running back from Lilburn-Parkview, (Ga.), was one of the best overall performers at the Scott Kennedy Competitive Edge Sports combine in Duluth, (Ga.). Jacobs is looking at four early favorites and upcoming visits.

"I have not received any offers yet," said Brandon Jacobs. "The schools showing the most interest in me right now are Clemson and Auburn. I plan to attend both their junior days in March."

"I really like Clemson and Auburn. Those two schools as well as Georgia and Florida are my favorites."

Clemson: "I like the atmosphere at Clemson. I went up there for a game last year. I like how they do things. The coaches are cool. I just like the whole atmosphere."

Auburn: "Auburn is the same as Clemson. I also have a lot of family history at Auburn. That's why I like them." (former Auburn and All-Pro offensive tackle Steve Wallace, uncle).

Georgia: "I have always liked Georgia. I have always been a fan."

Florida: "Florida is another team I have always liked. I like the way they run the football and play defense."

The 6-foot, 237-pound prospect clocked a 4.53 in the 40-yard dash and a 4.31 shuttle as well as a 34-inch vertical. Coaches are recruiting for both sides of the ball.

"A few schools are saying linebacker and others for running back," Jacobs said. "Auburn and Clemson both want me as a linebacker. Florida and Georgia want me as a running back. I really don't have a preference right now."

Jacobs rushed for close to 900 yards during his junior season.
