Gordon has received his first offer already and there are sure to be many more on the way for the 2nd team All-State linebacker.
"FIU has offered me already," said Gordon. "I am talking to a lot of schools and just waiting for more offers. I am open to every school and do not really have a top 5."
The 6 foot 220 pound linebacker talked about which school he rooted for growing up.
"Miami was my favorite school growing up," said Gordon. "They are my hometown team. I grew up a "U" fan. I like the way they play defense."
He talked about what would be the biggest factors in deciding his college destination.
"I want to play early," said Gordon. "I want to have the chance to make an immediate impact. I do not want to go too far away from home either."
Gordon spent his first two high school seasons at Chaminade Madonna College Prep before transferring to Cypress Bay last season when his coach Mark Guandolo made the same move. He talked about his first year at Cypress Bay,
"We had a good season for it being our first year there," said Gordon. "We made the regional semifinals and came up a little short."
Gordon had 63 tackles, nine sacks and one interception last season and talked about what separates him from other linebackers.
"I just work hard every play," said Gordon. "I never give up. I want for when the game to be finished for the other team to know who I am. I just make plays."
Gordon who holds a 2.5 GPA is going to take the SAT in the next couple of months. He talked about his summer plans.
"I am going to visit some schools, but I do not know which ones yet," said Gordon. "I haven't planned out the camps and stuff like that."
