"I was offered about 30 minutes ago by Alabama," an excited Kellen Williams said. "I talked to Coach [Nick] Saban on the phone. I am very excited."
"He said they saw more film on me. The second film had more pass protection. He told me I have what it takes to play in the SEC for a high caliber team like Alabama."
Williams has expressed heavy interest in the Tide and has been waiting for an offer from the SEC program. A decision is possibly on the horizon.
"It kind of took me a few seconds to respond to coach Saban when he told me about the offer," Williams said. "I told him to expect to hear from me pretty soon. Alabama was definitely one of my top schools. I am going to sleep on it and maybe make a decision in a couple of weeks."
Earlier in the day Williams received a scholarship offer from Florida State.
