Alabama Lands Georgia Lineman

Kellen Williams, offensive tackle from Snellville-Brookwood, (Ga.), received the offer Wednesday afternoon he has been seeking from the University of Alabama. It did not take long to make a decision.

"I just committed about 30 minutes ago," said Kellen Williams. "I called coach [Kirby] Smart. I told him, and wanted to tell coach [Nick] Saban. He said they were very excited and are going to win a national championship while I was there."

"It has been a childhood dream of mine to come play at Alabama. I told them I would come play any position they wanted me to play."

"I met all the coaches once. I got a good vibe from them. Coach Saban seems like a great guy to play for. He is going to bring a national championship back to Alabama."

"I going to go back over there in a couple of weeks to talk to everyone. They seem like a bunch of great guys. Coach Smart recruited me. He is a pretty cool guy."

The 6-foot-5, 288-pound offensive tackle received offers from UAB, UCF, Wake Forest, Boston College, N.C. State, Florida State and Maryland.

"As of now I am finished with my recruitment. I told the coaches I am 100-percent committed to Alabama.'
