Braxton, how did the visit to Tech's T-Day game go last Saturday?

It was very good. It was a nice day. The game was good and I got a chance to talk with all the coaches and a few of the players. It was a very good visit. Georgia Tech looks to have a very interesting season and I will follow them closely to see how they do."

Did you have a chance to talk with Coach Johnson?

"Yes I did. He came across as a very good person. We talked about how he would like for me to come back for a visit. He wants me to bring my parents so we could get to know one another better and see how I would be a great fit at Georgia Tech. I told him that I would and I am looking forward to the meeting."

Are you being recruited by Georgia Tech as a wide receiver?

"Actually, Coach Johnson said I would be more of an A-Back and that I would be able to play wide receiver too. "

Is that a position you could see yourself playing at the college level?

"When you think about it, it is very interesting. The A-Back not only gets a chance to run the ball on pitches but they also can go out on passing routes. I can see how appealing of a position it could be. I can see myself in a position like that and being able to play some wide receiver too."

How many offers do you have to date?

"I have around fourteen to fifteen offers from across the southeast and as far away as Michigan."

Which schools are recruiting you the hardest right now?

"Auburn, Michigan, and Indiana are recruiting me very hard right now."

Do you have a leader or a top list of schools?

"No sir I do not. I want to keep my options open right now to see what is out there. I don't want to close any door this early in the recruiting process."

Have you set a time table for a decision?

"Not really. I want to take as many visits as I can before making a decision. That way I will have a lot of information to base my decision. I think that I will probably decide somewhere between the end of summer and before signing day. I really don't see it dragging out until signing day though.'

Do you have any thing lined up as in summer camps?

"No sir, I will be playing baseball a lot during the summer so that will take up most of my time. I might try for a couple or so of the one day camps if I can fit them into my schedule."

What factors will you use to make your college choice?

"I want to feel real comfortable with my college choice. I want to have a good relationship with my coaches and I want be in a comfortable location. Whether the location is very close to home or away, I just want to feel comfortable."

How does your last high school season look?

"We look to be a very good team. We should have an interesting season and should do very well. I know we will all be giving our best."

How about you as a player? What are your best traits?

"I feel that I run good routes and can catch the ball really well. I can read defenses very well and I think I have a good mind for the game of football. I understand what I need to do when I am on the field."

What do you want to work on before college?

"I want to work on everything I can. I am working on improving my speed. I am working on different catching drills to improve my pass catching even more. I'm not going to stand still. I want to improve myself as player however I can."

Dale's Take
Braxton came away from the T-Day game at Georgia Tech with a good impression of not only Georgia Tech but of Coach Johnson and his staff. He has many offers and said that he wants to make a decision after taking as many visits as he can. He said "the more visits, the better". He has a well thought out plan and he will stick to it before deciding on his school.
