COACH'S REPORT: Dele Junaid

Is Sugar Land Hightower safety Dele Junaid close to receiving an offer from Texas A&M? Aggie Websider's Dallas Shipp visits in an exclusive one-on-one interview with Hightower head coach Shane Hallmark to find out more about Junaid, who has only played safety for one year.

What makes Dele such a prized Division-I talent?
His overall size. He's a big kid, he's 6-1 about 190-195 I could see him up to about 210-215 in college. He runs fairly well. His upside is what makes him such a big target for colleges.

Do you know what his fastest 40 time is?
I don't know without going back to look it up, but we haven't tested since December. I think he's about 4.7.

What are his strengths on the field?
His strength is run support right now. He hadn't played in the position before last year, so he's only a year into the position, but he had a great spring. He's improved a lot since last year. He's probably had the best spring of anyone in our secondary.

What kind of person is he off the field
He's a great kid. I've never had one ounce of problem from him. He's a good student, works hard in classroom. He's a quiet kid. He usually just leads by playing hard all the time.

Where do you see him playing at the next level
I think they're like a lot of other schools recruiting him. They think he may grow into an outside linebacker.
